Bakersfield Open House June 1st

Bakersfield Municipal Airport (L45) Open House June 1, 2019

This is a free event open to the public, and pilots can fly in to socialize and display your plane.
Visitors will have a chance to see airplanes up close and ask questions about general aviation.

EAA Chapter 71 will be selling a Tri-Tip Sandwich lunch with potato salad or chips & soda/water for $10 from 11am-1pm.

Chapter 71 will be conducting free Young Eagle flights for kids 8-17, from 9am-1pm (or perhaps later). Parent permission is required. The Young Eagles activity is completely free and is a fantastic opportunity for introducing kids to aviation. Parents can call or email Dave Nance with questions or to let him know they are planning to bring their child. Please provide advance notice if large groups plan to attend (boy scouts, school groups, etc). Having an approximate count in advance will ensure enough pilots are on site to service the groups.
