Young Eagles

Chapter 40 has participated in this program since it was launched in 1992 and flown 12,000 Young Eagles.
The Young Eagles program has dedicated 30 years to giving youth, ages 8–17, their first free ride in an airplane.
It is the only program of its kind, with the sole mission to introduce and inspire kids into the world of aviation.

Today, over 2.3 million young people have enjoyed a free introductory flight through the Young Eagles program.
These flights are made possible through the generosity of EAA member volunteers and Pilots.

These pilots do this out of their own pocket and are not allowed to receive any compensation or reimbursement.

Students Ages 8-17 Years Old Receive

  • Flight in general aviation aircraft
  • Preflight area – demonstrations
  • Presentation of further opportunities in aviation
  • And other opportunities which vary each month

What would it be like to touch the sky and open a world of possibilities where dreams come true?
Join us in offering youth ages 8-17 the opportunity to experience The Spirit of Aviation® by encouraging a Young Eagle today!

“Every great dream begins with a dreamer.
Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion
to reach for the stars to change the world.”
– Harriet Tubman

This is just the beginning of what Chapter 40 provides.
